Yoga is not just asanas; it is a way of life. The depth of your self-awareness determines your inner happiness, strength and potential freedom. Yoga helps you open your heart and find the true nature and connection with universal forces.
I was born and raised in Minsk - the capital of the Republic of Belarus. Already as a little girl, I believed that one day I would leave my homeland. I was ready to begin to travel the world, meet new people, and learn the traditions and cultures of other countries. After I got a law degree, gradually my dream began to gain momentum and come true.
I happened to live briefly in the UK, in Italy, and now in Spain. I have also traveled repeatedly in India and Asia.
My path to yoga began in 2007, after the birth of my second child. I constantly felt tired, physically and mentally. I dealt with persistent lower back pain, postpartum depression, and family conflicts. I started attending yoga classes at a nearby gym. The effect came after a few lessons. Not only was my physical pain gone, but soon a spiritual and emotional relief came along as well. Physical load on the body through yoga asanas also gave their effect on the subtle mental body. I began to replace negative thinking habits with positive ones. The practice of yoga gave me a physical and emotional advantage in the form of balance and inspiration - from here I started on the path of yoga, which became my spiritual path.
In 2011, my first trip to India took place in the capital of yoga, Rishikesh, to study the art at the very source. There I spent a whole two months studying the basics of Hatha Yoga, philosophy, anatomy, meditation and breathing practices. During these two months my spiritual transformation took place, I discovered a new form of myself. The Indian teachers and this amazing country have done their miracle to open my perception of myself internally, as well as the world.
I will always have a special place in my heart for India and its people. I eagerly accept any opportunity I may have to visit this country again to discover the ancient culture better each time. At the end of the yoga teaching course in Rishikesh, I received a certificate of 200 hours and in the same year I began my career as a yoga teacher. Every year I try to continue training and expand my knowledge to reinforce my practice. Later, I obtained a certificate in yoga therapy for 200 hours, also from one of the teachers in India. Then, on the island of Bali, in Indonesia, I completed the 500 hours of teaching + yoga for children and yoga during pregnancy and postpartum. In 2015, I participated in the ten-day Vipassana meditation in the S.N. Goenka center, near Madrid, Spain.I also had the experience of living and practicing karma yoga in Sivananda and Amritapuri Ashrams in southern India.
My philosophy, inspiration and mission:
I believe that the essence of yoga is not to be a serious perfectionist, but it is the freedom to become yourself through physical asanas and open yourself to the universal secrets. My students are my inspiration for teaching yoga. My passion comes from my ability to listen to individuals about what kind of changes they may be going through on both a physical or mental level. I strive to offer advice and moral support. This is what gives me the strength to continue what I do today.
My mission is to touch the life of those whom I meet in my lesson at a deep level, to help individuals find that confidence in themselves to live consciously without unnecessary suffering.
You often hear «Namaste» at the beginning or end of a yoga class, which means in Sanskrit, «the Divine Light within me, honors the Divine Light within you».
